  1. RUN
    good 11 mi

These miles were split into two runs - one during my lunch hour and another after work as part of the Milwaukee Running Day festival! The Running Day miles were especially fun because I got to run ... read more

  2. RUN
    good 4 mi

Recovery miles - slow with a bit of a pickup toward the end. Legs didn't feel too bad during these miles!

  3. RUN
    blah 7 mi

Ended up doing this workout in the morning, which pretty much never happens. And there's a reason for that - my legs always feel extra stiff and heavy during the AM hours! The workout was a WU... read more

A shame that this didn't go to plan. Different things work for different people so there's no harm (excluding any instances of injury) in experimenting to find out or just remind ones self of what works for them. Great effort getting it done regardless! Mental toughness won the day!

  4. RUN
    blah Chocoholic 5k 3.1 mi 00:23 07:29 pace

A total blah race. My head wasn't in this one and I ended up with an extra slow time for me. Also ended up with soaked shoes and mud streaks up and down my legs from water/mud pits on the cour... read more

Nice work getting this one done - still looking like a nice pace. Despite not enjoying this one so much I hope the chocolate helped a little

  5. RUN
    good 5 mi

Glue miles + A super sweaty intense Y-Blitz class. No AC at the gym so I think I lost 5 pounds in sweat alone! ;)

  6. RUN
    good 5 mi

Recovery miles + Y-Fuse + Y-Core. Miles felt okay but I felt pretty flat in Y-Fuse. Mega calf cramp in Y-core :(

  7. RUN
    alright 6 mi

Tune up workout before the weekend race included WU & CD + 5 min, 2 min, 5 min, 2 min. Ended up a tad slow on the 5 min segments but the 2 min segments were spot on. I think the heat/humidity p... read more

  8. RUN
    alright 5 mi

Glue miles that felt better as the run went on. Also Y-Blitz in the evening - class included the dreaded tires. I was lucky to get a smaller one tonight :)

  9. RUN
    great 9 mi 01:13 08:04 pace

My body is loving the gorgeous 60 degree weather we've been having in MKE! Felt good throughout the run and even finished with the last three miles at sub-8 pace. TGIF :)

  10. RUN
    great 6 mi

Nearly skipped this run but forced myself out the door. Glad I did because it turned out great. The weather was perfect and I unintentionally ended up with a progression run. I normally don't ... read more

That's a good strategy. I always take a watch - I can't help but look at it every mile as it vibrates and tells me how fast I ran each one but I don't actively monitor my pace or try to stick to anything as I think my body will tell me if I'm going too easy or hard. Great running Sun!

  11. FIT
    alright Y-Fuse + Y-Core 00:50

Legs felt less peppy than usual during Fuse - I guess I'm out of shape when it comes to group exercise classes!

Glue miles to start the week with strides after. Nothing too exciting about this one!

  15. walk
    good Block Melanoma 5k + 3k 5 mi

Mom and I decided to walk this one and do both the 5k and 3k (the 5k was first with the 3k after). So we got a quality walk in and since the walk was at the zoo we also saw some animals as we strol... read more

  16. RUN
good Kings & Queens Half Marathon 13.1 mi 01:49 08:18 pace

    alright 7 mi

Workout included 2 x 1.5 mile intervals at 10k pace. Legs still a bit heavy and slow from the weekend race.

  20. RUN

Still slow but another step in the right direction! Felt great throughout the race and it was super fun to run through Peninsula Park in Door County :)
