It was good getting back to business after almost a week off. I only slept for about 5 hours (as usual) but woke up rested and ready to go. I felt pretty rickity for the first couple of miles but on the third mile I settled into a nice groove. I tried to push a bit for mile five and then hauled it back in for the last mile and a bit. (I say "hauled it back in" like it was intentional as opposed to the fact that I felt like my lungs were going to explode and I thought I would puke.) Then I got back home and did shit: 3 sets of 10 calf raises for each leg, 20 burpees (my new favourite exercise next to running) 4 sets of 25 crunches, and some yogaish stretching. Feeling good and ready to get at it.
