      Last year I finally found a magical sweet (sweat) spot where I could take it: It was late August, and around 65* out at 5:30 am. I ran in my lightest pair of shorts, and no shirt. I was dripping in sweat by mile 3, and after 6 felt exhilarated. I think it was mainly electrolyte-loss-induced-delirium...

      I totally hear you on that one! I don't know too many runners in real life, other than a few select people that I can count on one hand. It's great to be able to get support from runners all over the world, though!

      It's hard to find a running buddy that is at the same place you are in your running. At least the two of you got out on a beautiful day for a run. I agree with Bryan, you should always start off easy. Nice run!!!!

      I run similar to you - I take a good 2 to 3 miles to warm up and hit my stride. I go top speed out of the gate and I crash and burn hard. Still a great run, Stephanie :)
