In truth, I've run very minimally since I stopped posting here, and I'd forgotten how much I was missing -- both the running and the wealth of support from kind people such as yourself. :) I'm really glad to be back.

      Last year I finally found a magical sweet (sweat) spot where I could take it: It was late August, and around 65* out at 5:30 am. I ran in my lightest pair of shorts, and no shirt. I was dripping in sweat by mile 3, and after 6 felt exhilarated. I think it was mainly electrolyte-loss-induced-delirium...
