  1. RUN
good Rock N Roll Arizona 26.2 mi 04:17 09:47 pace

Where do I start? Race was great. Woke up feeling good, but nervous that I didn't train enough in the last few weeks because of the sickies in our house. Also worried about my knee. Neither ... read more

  2. RUN
good The hill 4.08 mi 00:39 09:36 pace

Not too shabby. Second to last run before the race. I feel ok. Not "ready" but I keep telling myself I can do it.

  3. RUN
alright Last "long" run 13.58 mi 02:18 10:08 pace

I have been sidelined for a week and a half with a mild case of the flu. I say mild but I was on my ass for 4 days! No running at all, so today was my first and last attempt at a "taper"... read more

  4. RUN
good Canal Loop 6 mi 00:55 09:10 pace

Nice run, fast pace (for me). Been having a nagging pain on the inside of my right knee and it gets worse when I run. Tender to touch too. Oh well, I'll get it looked at after 1/20 :)

  5. RUN
    alright 22 22 mi 03:46 10:15 pace

Oh man this was tough both mentally and physically. I am wiped and feel completely unready for 26.2. Ugh!!

You did good! It's only four more miles. Think of it as a short run after the end of a long run. Having never run a marathon, you can take my advice with a grain of salt. But I know you can do it!

I totally understand what you mean...I'm certainly no expert but when I finished my first marathon plan a few weeks back, I was also absolutely physically and mentally beat, and thought no way could I run a marathon. But, it is amazing what the taper will do when combined with the long term effects of your training - you will be raring to go on race day and this long run will put you in a great position for those tough miles at the end of the marathon...way to go!!!

alright 5 mile 'hood loop 5 mi 00:52 10:22 pace

I was feeling off this run. Pushing the 65 lbs monsters in the stroller makes it that much harder, but I just wasn't feeling great all around. We stopped for them to play at the park for abo... read more

Not a bad little run in 2 phases. 3 miles by myself with the kids in the jogger. Then I fed them and put them to nap then got my last 6 in. 10 min/mile with the kids. 9:38 without. Merry Christmas ... read more

    good 20 miles! 20 mi 03:28 10:24 pace

1 more long run. This wasn't awful. Hubs and the kids met me for the last 4, so those were significantly slower pushing the jogger with 65 lbs of kids!

  9. RUN
    Canal Loop 6 mi 00:54 09:02 pace

I guess it went alright. I was unmotivated, but need to get back in the game. Only 2 long runs left before the big race. I have taken way to much time off due to illness and travel. This weeken... read more

great Yassos around the hill 8.4 mi 01:17 09:09 pace

I hate runs like that, especially the ones that really need to count. I think you did really well and will do fine on your 18 miler. Some days we are just "off". Who knows why.

Thanks guys! It has been hot here lately and I started my run at 9, so that might have had something to do with it. I'm turning my 18 this weekend into a 5 mile run to a 1/2 Mary and then running the race. Should make the 18 go by pretty easy. Or easier.
