Hardest one yet - My legs are killing me! But in a good way :)

    great Boxing Class 00:30

Loved it. Still a bit sore from Tuesday but I don't care. I've kind of lost my mojo with running (it will be temporary), so I'm glad I have something else.

Sorry about that Steevie. A few days of rest will do you good. If you do not feel better, please see a doctor.

  6. RUN
    alright Run/Walk 3.09 km 00:29 15:06 pace

Quite a few walk stops to catch my breath/stop coughing - and then the last Kilometer was roughly all road works and I couldn't run the path safely so I had to walk it anyway. Still happy I go... read more

I am so glad to see this post...meaning you are feeling better!!! Yes, I use a headlamp but have not been using it during the long summer days. I need to start taking it with me now.

Do you mind if I ask what brand you use? I'm concerned they would wobble down my face or something. I have a little flashing green light that I can clip to my shoe but that's just so that I can be seen. I'm unlikely to run at night anyway (safety and all that) but It would be nice to have something just in case :)

  9. I am still gross. I'm going to attempt a lunchtime walk today (back at work finally), but I don't think I'll be running until next week. Breathing is an issue.

  10. Uuuuugh I am so sick 🤒 I just took the dog for a short walk and could barely get up the hill. Waaah pity party for me.

  11. RUN
    good 3.64 km 00:27 11:56 pace

I purposely did not wear my shin compressions to compare it to my last run. I also avoided sprints. During the run, I felt lighter and less sluggish, less pain in my shins and knees, ... BUT... as ... read more

I am so sorry. Sometimes hip exercises help alleviate knee and shin pain.

  13. RUN
    good 3.62 km 00:27 12:00 pace

I changed up the route a bit which is always nice. The only problem was that it consisted of a bit more concrete than dirt or bitumen - my knees and left shin really felt it.

Very nicely done Steevie. I am sorry about the pain in your knees and shin. Do you have good inserts for your running shoes?

My shoes have only done about 100 miles or so, but I keep forgetting to put my compressions on. I will remember next time and see if that helps - if not, I may have to upgrade my shoes sooner than expected - I haven't been able to find any decent inserts locally, so I may have to look online.

Custom made inserts help. You may also need to focus some strength training on your hip and knees.

  15. RUN
great Gulfview Route 6.69 km 00:56 13:28 pace

Longest run in aaaages - my knees felt that one! Obviously walked some of it as half is up steeeep hills! I ran one of the hills and walked 3/4 of the other.

  16. RUN
    alright 3.49 km 00:26 11:59 pace

I was feeling pretty good and fast actually, until I got stopped by that Douche Canoe. I was stopped for a decent time and still managed to come in a bit quicker, so I wonder what my actual pace was.

  18. RUN
    great 3.68 km 00:28 12:14 pace

Was meant to be a recovery run... I intended on walking a bit more than I did. Oh well, it was still an easy, no pressure run. The rain is setting in soon so I thought I'd get another one in :)

  19. RUN
    great 3.45 km 00:26 12:07 pace

Just a casual run in my lunch break - today is so sunny and warm - I was almost too hot! (Back to cold and rain tomorrow but I'll take what I can get). No niggles, no complaints. All was well :)

She is very happy :) - although that is a massive bruise on her forehead. She decided that putting her blanket over her head and running full speed would be a great idea... until the wall got in the way.
