good Munchkin Run: Half-of-a-Half Marathon, 2011 8.15 mi 01:04 07:50 pace

The first annual Munchkin Run: Half-of-a-Half virtual race. It was a run put on for those of us who have a passion for both running and Disney, but are unable to find our way to the Disneyland Half Marathon this weekend.
Rules were simple, bibs were dispersed, and after race treats were decided upon by each participant... the leading one being Munchkins. Unable to secure Munchkins in my current locality, I made my way to Granada Mall last night at made a stop at the Krispy Kreme vendor there. (Uhmm, Doughnuts!)
I awoke a bit early and got ready to hit start time of 6 AM local Arabian Time. Horns trumpeted (really) and off I went.
A good run day, as the temperatures were below 80 and there were quite a few people out getting their runs on. (A local event - 10K and HM - has some people scrambling to get into running form.)
At 6.2 miles, I headed to a good picture spot for the 6.55 M "finish line" photos. (Part of the rules, get a picture at the finish line!)
Added a little extra distance getting to the park and back, but a good time was had by all. (3.1M/23:50; 6.2M/48:06; 6.55M/50:52)

I am kinda confused but the pace and distance works out to a great run. It's a small world after all!

Guess I should explain: the distance for the virtual run was 6.55 miles, but from that point back to my villa was where the extra mileage adding up to 8.15 came in. Figured since I was having such a good time that I should not stop.
