  2. RUN
    blah SpeedGoat 50K 32 mi 08:36 16:07 pace

Not the race I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the camaraderie of those I suffered alongside and still managed a PR.

  3. RUN
    tired City 3.3 mi 00:26 07:58 pace

Ran to the track, did a monotonous mile, ran the bleacher stairs and home...Damn! It was hot today. First run in ten days, felt really awkward.

  8. VELO
    injured Trainer 7.5 mi 00:30 15.0mph pace

Despite my optimism, my piriformis, lower back and hip flexor have gotten worse. Relegated to cycling in an attempt to salvage my upcoming ultra.

  9. RUN
    good Snowbird/Alta 16.5 mi 03:30 12:43 pace

Snowbird/Alta. Had some fantastic stretches and some very bad patches. Overall a fun effort. 5,070' of ascent...

  10. RUN
alright Bowman Fork 4.4 mi 00:52 11:52 pace

Bowman to White Fir Pass. Piriformis is still tender, but improving. 1,650' of ascent.

  11. RUN
    injured Brighton 4 mi 00:46 11:23 pace

Ran Brighton to Twin Lakes Pass at lunch. Experiencing a hip/glute issue, confident it will resolve soon. 1,300' of ascent

  12. RUN
good Sugar Loaf / Devils Castle loop 8.3 mi 02:19 16:44 pace

Lots of scrambling on Devil's Castle and gawking at wild flowers in Albion Basin made for a slow pace. An overall enjoyable run with Dan. 2,600' of ascent.

  13. RUN
good Brighton - Alta Loop 10 mi 02:28 14:48 pace

Mellow run with Jarod. Twin Lakes Pass from Brighton over to Alta, returned via Catherine's Pass. 2,900' of ascent.

  15. RUN
tired Big and Little Cottonwood Can... 11 mi 02:14 12:10 pace

Days Fork to Silver Fork. The monsoon made the trail soft and the flowers brilliant, but it was humid.... Sluggish on the climb, snappy on the descent. 3,374' climbed

  16. Well that's a wrap for June... I posted a brief recap and some photos from along the trails. (click to enlarge)

Long, hot day: Big Cottonwood to Little Cottonwood canyon and back. 4200' of ascent/descent. Lots of off-trail boulder hopping. About as ready for SpeedGoat 50K as I'm going get.

  19. RUN
great Baker Spring 7.5 mi 01:41 13:28 pace

Millcreek to Baker Spring 2,933' vert... Felt great despite the intense heat and steep climb.

  20. RUN
good Liberty Park 4.5 mi 00:39 08:34 pace

Wanted to go for ten miles, but running around in circles is so unsatisfying; I suppose I'm a destination runner. Oh well, at least the Liberty Park mulch path is kind on the knees :)
