great Long run with the kids 15 mi

I started by a 6.x mile loop by myself. When I stopped at home to refill my bottle I asked the kids to join me for a 5 mile loop. We packed bananas and water for their snack, they jumped on their bikes and we did our little loop. Since they had some energy left when we were done we packed more snacks and went on our usual 3.x mile loop to the pond. I'm so proud of them for riding for 8 miles. They are only 6 and 4 years old and my little one has a bike so small she has to pedal like a cartoon character to keep up with us.
This run boosted my confidence. Even considering the long pauses in between loops I'm happy to see that my legs feel a lot less tired than the last time I covered the same distance.
We will be traveling for the next 3 weeks but I can replace running with some hiking and legs workout and I may be ready for my trail run on May 5th.
