About 95% of the people took a wrong turn, thus short course, but oh well...$10 race entry, good pizza, lots of barley pop, a big time raffle w/over $8000 in prizes & tons of cool DMers and other runners to hang out with afterwards equals a HUGE win in my book...not to mention that proceeds go to bettering the life of young runners as they head off to college! Awesome night. The run...eh, it was super muggy, but ok...went out too fast in the 6:30s, cruddy middle mile, strong finish. Need to fix that...but mostly just glad to be upright and moving ahead this summer! Run Strong Friends!

That's a great 5K, even if it wasn't 5K. Good job recovering to finish well.

Upright and moving is good, especially when it leads to pizza and bear.

Thanks guys! @Patrick, Yes you'd win it if you were here w/your 14:something 5ks, but the prizes were in the form of donated items to be raffled off, as a way to raise money for a scholarship fund for young runners going off to college:)

That sounds like every 5K I run Shep! Except it's usually start too fast, cruddy 2nd mile, poor finish. :-/ Great job, great cause & sounds like you made the best of it!
