First time on this course and I've got a new PB! Yay! I met the lovely Karen F and Rob F in the baggage area and had a little chat before the start. When I saw them out on the course they were absolutely flying round. Didn't get to see them at the end but they must've gotten around 40ish minutes.
I think I probably could've pushed a bit harder and maybe got under 49 mins, but I'd heard so much about this huge hill at the end and I was saving myself for that. It really wasn't too bad at all - it was a bit unpleasant but there are harder hills on my training runs.
*Just a little grumble - why do people blatantly lie on their entry forms, put a fast time to get into a fast zone and then walk before they've even done 1km? What's the point??

awesome well done Michelle you're flying!! Annoying aren't they?!

Hi Michelle. It was lovely to meet you properly at last. You done really well. I noticed people walking pretty early into the race too. As for our times, they weren't our best, mine was 46.09 and Rob's was 43 something, but I was able to enjoy the run. I got a bit carried away shouting at everyone I knew who I seen. Whilst the hill at the end wasnt too bad, it did get to me as I'm not fully fit and haven't done as much training for this 1 as I would normally do. Well done Michelle!xx

Fantastic run Michelle and that's a great pace for a hot day! Sounds like a nice route minus the slow coaches at the front!!

Great job and congrat's on the PB! You ran a smart race and the hills during training paid off! I hear you on people misrepresenting or walkers getting up near the starting line. All we can do is worry about ourselves though it can be annoying!!

Well done Michelle, nice to finally meet you, as Karen says we were not at our best today, i knew i wasn't going to do a sub 40 just after the first couple of mile so slowed my pace down as i didnt want to injure myself not being 100% fit

Nice one :-) PB on a hot day as well. Mobile chicanes are always an issue. Even worse at British 10k in London as no zones - first come gets to front '
