  4. walk
    alright 2 mi

There was a .5 mil jog in here, but it was a recovery run and it is safe to say our hearts were not in this one.

  5. RUN
    good 3.4 mi

Same deal with cousin again-those 1/2 miles runs tucker us out! But I still think we are going faster than before, and for sure faster than when I go alone.

Hmmm. That doc does sound like a putz. You need to check in with another doc, definitely. Great work on this 3.4

  6. RUN
    good 3.5 mi

walk/intervals for .5 mile, jog back. repeat 3x with .5 mile cooldown. felt good by the last big jog, going about 13:20 for the pace!

  7. RUN
    good 2 mi

cold! More with cousin, but we've bumped up to more running than walking. Our first mile was 16, then 13 (ish).

  8. RUN
    alright 1 mi 00:15:00 15:00 pace

felt ok. Nearly ran out of light. I think running intervals with cousin has hurt my ability to run for a whole mile....weird. I think I'm faster when I run, but need to build back up.

  9. RUN
    good 3.5 mi

The ground was frozen this morning and my pants hadn't dried from being washed...nothing invigorating like wet cold pants to run in! Cousin and I did 20! sets of 1:10/:50. Made sure not to &qu... read more

Huzzah! Did the 3.5 mile loop with cousin. 1:10 run/:50 rest 16 times plus a longish walk to to finish up. She seems dead set on doing the 10k Butte to Butte on July 4 (same race she was dead set o... read more

Eventually hills will feel like candy canes and ice cream! (Not really, but they won't feel like death). The best part about hills is running down fast after and knowing you conquered something awesome!!

Well said, sister! I've dropped two FB friends due to using this event as a soap box. I am sure there will be more.

I tend to remove myself a bit from social media around these times. I don't really jibe well with the pray sentiments either, but I do understand that other people feel/deal with things differently than I do. As for the soap box shit, no no no, I don't deal with that at all.

You're a brave soul for saying this Shelley and I am proud of you. It takes guts to utter those words. Thank you for saying them. I am not a praying woman and I do not believe in god *cues the gasps*, but I do not push my agenda on anyone, or judge my friends who do have strong beliefs, in fact I admire them. I'm always happy that they can find comfort in their god and their prayer. However I can't stand when people use tragedy as a reason to preach their beliefs.

Birthday color run? Like it's your birthday and it's a color run? :) I'm sorry your throat is sore! That's the worst. I'm impressed you got a run in despite that. I am a whiny baby when my throat is sore.
