CrossFit Elements classes are almost done! I'm excited to start the WOD's, but nervous because I know I'm not as strong as the people who have been going for a while. I'm afraid I will forget the mechanics or not be able to do something. Fortunately everyone has been really nice, so hopefully it will remain judgement free as it has been!
Today was thrusters and pull ups. We worked on using the band to do straight pull ups (even with the assistance that wasn't happening) and kipping pull ups. Kipping felt a little ridiculous, I couldn't tell what it looks like more, humping the elastic band or kibbying out. Either way, it was kind of fun until my hands started to hurt :)
The thrusters were a bit painful because my knee is still bugging me. Fortunately my trainer let me do half squats so I didn't make it worse. I got a knee band that seems to help with running and walking, but it didn't do much for squats.

Me too! Hopefully the boot camp and CrossFit will pay off soon and I'll be able to do a straight pull up, but for now it's jumping pull ups, girly push ups and 5 lb weight lifting :)
