great Speedwork! :-) 2.11 mi 00:20 09:29 pace

I tried to do a speed exercise I read about: 3 minutes at about 5K race pace and 2 minute sprints. This was how long I lasted. Left hamstring was a little tight. Stretch, stretch, stretch!

3 min at 5k pace then 2 min of sprints? No recovery?

It was in a 5K training thing. I got a 29:02 on my last 5K, so I've been reading various stuff online. I'm sure I wasn't running at my actual 5K pace, but it was fun to see what this was like. I think my fastest race so far, I ran 9:20 pace, so this was fun to try.

Thanks, Everyone. It's not even painful tight. Just needed a stretch tight. I did ballet for 17 years (including getting a minor in it in college), so I'm used to torturing myself ;-)

    Nice Job:

I'll say tough! 5K pace is not recovery so sprinting intervals on 5K pace is super hard. Not sure how you are supposed to recover! If you made it more than 2 miles, your 5K pace would be faster I think. Awesome work!
