blah Ride back from the garage 7.27 mi 00:35 12.6mph pace

Had to drop the car into the garage this morning, so made the most of it and decided to ride the bike back. That was before I realised that there would be a 25mph headwind all the way home hence th... read more

  2. swim
    great An afternoon surfing.. 03:00

Made the most of a bad weather day and headed out for surf, felt nice and toasty in the winter wetsuit. It was much more fun surfing with the seals than getting soaked on land, or napping on the sofa!

  3. #dailymission I quite often run into Seals and Otters when I go for an open water swim at the end of the garden!

  4. FIT
alright The Sufferfest - Local Hero 21.37 mi 01:33 04:19 pace

Tough interval workout with everything from 6min TT blocks to max speed sprints, absolutely knackered!

  5. FIT
great Late night trainer workout 10.37 mi 00:40 03:51 pace

Easy first eight miles with 2 miles all out time trial, feeling much better and really ready for some sleep now!

Just one of the awesome views from this afternoons hike!

  7. FIT
good Mavis Grind loop 6 mi 03:00 30:00 pace

An unexpected tough walk in the deserted hills here, rudely interrupted by a pair of dive bombing birds and the subsequent max effort 400m run!

  8. swim
    good 1000 m

First swim in the pool for ages, I think my body has completely forgotten how to swim without a wetsuit! Lots of practice needed to get ready for the triathlon....

  9. RUN
    good 2.29 mi 00:24 10:40 pace

Nice morning run along the river, with some most unexpected sun for company. Forgot my heart rate strap again though...

  10. FIT
    alright 10.02 mi 00:41 04:02 pace

Easy spin watching Wiggins hammering away in the Pyrenees, feeling a little tired today...

Did you daydream that you were on the tdf? That's totally what I would have done!

If he makes it through today unscathed almost certainly! And a little daydreaming definitely makes the indoor bike easier to bear, thanks guys!

    alright 12.81 mi 01:00 04:41 pace

One hour of pedaling away on the trainer watching Newsroom, big ring efforts in the ad breaks (anything to take away the boredom).

  12. RUN
    good 2.05 mi 00:22 10:36 pace

First run in a very long time, surprisingly not too painful....

Long before I ever started running I used to be inspired when I saw the London Marathon on tv - even though running was about the worst way of spending time I could think of!

  16. RUN
good Heading to the woods 4.49 mi 00:50 11:01 pace

Nice run in the crisp evening air, made even better by the fact I got out into the countryside. 4.5 miles is starting to seem like an easy after work run.

Yoga before bed is wonderful, though it can be hard to motivate yourself when you're feeling ready to crash!

    good Late night 2 2.2 mi 00:22 09:46 pace

Glad I managed to squeeze in a quick 2 miler after 11 hours at work and a rather large Lebanese feast with a few former colleagues. Just wish I wasn't feeling wide awake at 23:00....

  19. RUN
    great 6 mi 01:06 11:00 pace

Managed to get out for a lovely lunch break run in the sunshine, feeling nice and relaxed ready for the afternoons onslaught.....

  20. RUN
Power yoga for happiness 2 01:07

Very tough yoga session with lots of quad burning balancing poses. Feel nice & relaxed now, of only I could get up early enough to do this in the mornings....
