Wow, Scott, what an amazing experiment. I am impressed that you were able to last 2 weeks. As a mom to little kids I pay special attention to what this family eats (was less concerned pre-kids, but we've always been pretty healthy eaters) so I know full well how expensive a healthy diet can be. I know that I am fortunate to have the choices that I do and that I've never had to choose between getting everyone fed and making paying the bills. Kudos to you!

This is a great project and very admirable. Food, something that is vital to every human being, is so overlooked. Are you familiar with Local Foods Connection? They connect low income families with CSA's in the Iowa City area--providing those families with healthy food they would otherwise not be able to afford. I used to volunteer with them quite a bit when I lived in Iowa City.

lol I love leg workout because running is my favorite activity, this one is brutal and that bruised shin twinges still on the box jump (of course that is where I got the injury so maybe it is psychosomatic lol) but it feels great.

I did wall squats, sumo squats, a 12 minute routine of hot potato squats, skier squats and cross over wood-chopper squats (alternating between them 1 minute each with 17.5 pound weights, 10 second rest between exercises and 1 minute between the 3 sets), frond, back and lateral lunges, toe raises, standing calf raises, exercise ball leg curls, leg press, hack squats, calf press and finally leg presses.
