good Snow Shoeing @ Crater Lake 2 mi

Went on a field trip with my 5th grader. We snow shoed most of the time we were there. The mileage is a rough estimate.

  3. RUN
    5.95 mi 00:43 07:11 pace

Went for a run to loosen up... Amazing how a "comfortable" pace today was a full minute/mile faster than during my race. I guess I will be incorporating more insane hill work and bricks ... read more

I went out to test out my back because it's been feeling much better. Certain movements still hurt (bad) but my range of motion is pretty good. I went out easy and rode steady. I did push a... read more

Joe - It's feeling "okay" enough right now, that I'm actually considering putting a race back on my schedule this Saturday. The race went on the back burner as of last Tuesday when this whole back pain thing started.

I did about 4 miles warmup on the stationary bike and then some stairs. On to core work and stretching. Then back to the stairs for some more. My back is tight, but it was so nice to do something.

  11. Injury Update: Tuesday/Wednesday I could barely walk due to the back pain. Saw a chiropractor Wed/Thurs/Friday, with a massage added on Friday. There were moments of hope on Thurs/Friday, but pr... read more

I have the same thing all the time. Luckily I have gotten used to it. I don't have a lot of pain though. I did when I first noticed it. I wish you a good result from the Dr. I have been to several and they can't figure it out. My right leg, because of my hip, is shorter than the left. Throws everything off for running. They can even me out in one visit but it shifts again after a run. its very frustrating. Good luck

Thanks guys... The Doc was able to rule out the severe injuries (disc problems etc) but wasn't able to determine the actual problem. He said it is likely a strained muscle. He did an adjustment. I feel a ton better mobility wise, but not nearly well enough to workout. Hopefully soon!
