good Morning run 6.03 km 00:35 09:20 pace
I had problems with runners knee in 2009. This morning I felt signs of it. Backed the pace off and it went away. I think I might have gone a little hard on my tempo yesterday morning following a lo... read more

Wise move! Have you considered checking the way you run (biomechanically)? From personal experience - had the same thing, then thought: I'm either going to spend money & time treating the symptoms OR address the cause(s). Did the latter, changed my running style and had zero, nada, zilch injuries 3000km later. Just a thought...

Yes, after suffering with lots of problems in 2009, I dropped my distances and spent some time changing my style and cadence. I basically switched to Chi/Pose running. I used Vibrams for a while until I got the mid/fore foot strike right, then switched to Newtons. After that I ran pain free. I think my current issue is just me being over-zealous. I took 8 months off running and restarted in December only to go from 0kms to 40kms a week in 4 weeks and I've started introducing tempos and hill sprints too...

Again - 'wise'! Yes, the base takes a while, can't rush it or you defeat the purpose. Good luck with it and ... enjoy. As said before, happy to plod together sometimes.

Morning run 8.19 km 00:48 09:23 pace
Added a short tempo in and it slaughtered me. Fitness still has a long way to go

Nice Job:
Slowly, slowly Lee. I added tempo yesterday but it was just too hot. Really nice distance though, at a very good pace.

good Bridges with figure-8 on Heir... 13.05 km 01:17 09:26 pace
Nice steady run. Longest for over a year. Felt pretty good too actually. Strange observation on Heirisson though. I ran past what looked like a pile of womens clothing and was a little concerned. A... read more

Nice long run Lee! Made all the more interesting by a study in humanity stripped down! Hope you pull up okay after that distance. My feet are still a bit sore today, but everything else is fine.

Good to see you getting your pace back. What was the reason for such a long lay-off with your running?

My Newton Stability trainers ticked over 1000kms today and they still feel and look great. Best trainers I've ever used.

Anyone have recommendations for great music to run to?

I confess I stopped for drink break 3 times and my Motoactv auto pauses, so probably add 4-5 minutes onto that time. Felt pretty good though. Thanks Heather

Nice to hear! And yes, it was bit sticky this morning, even up in the hills where we were this morning.
