So hot out for the kiddos with the heat index well over 100. Coach made this a shorter practice. .5 mile warm up, stretch, and 1.3 mile run around Charlie Vettiner Park. So hot and humid, it felt like running through soup. I let little man take the past 5 weeks off from running and he just isn't acclimated to this heat, so I paced him on the second run. I'm sure he loves having his mama right beside him to push him (sarcasm), because I could really see the "i'm going to walk" look in his eyes half way through the 2nd run...or maybe that was sweat?...either way, I forgot how much harder CC running is than hitting the road! So it's a great workout for me as well!
