good Shires of VT Marathon 26.2 mi 04:42 10:44 pace

I had no expectations going into this knowing that the hills would be brutal. Wanted to stay between 4:30-4:40 if I could but wasn't going to be devastated if that didn't happen. Weather ... read more

    good 3.77 mi 00:34 08:57 pace

First run in a week. Not a good track record leading up to Sunday's marathon but not going to sweat it. Laced up some new kicks & wore my finisher's shirt from my first 26.2. It'... read more

Thought this was my 2nd best half time but turns out to be my 3rd (last half in March was 1:59:32). Still came in under 2 which is my goal these days. Miles 6-8 were slower for some reason (9:16, 9... read more

Ugh, I am sorry. Foam rolling helps my shins. I foam roll them 2-3 times a day right now.

Sorry about the shin. My right shin was bothering me so I cut my run short today

Wish I didn't have to jump on a 2 hour conference call tonight or else I would've kept running!

  12. RUN
    great 20.05 mi 03:16 09:47 pace

I think I found my marathon pace sweet spot. Very hilly 20. Started to slip around 17.5 but hung in there!

  18. RUN
    great 8.04 mi 01:14 09:08 pace

Knew what route I wanted to take (wanted a lot of hills), knew about how long it was. Was feeling really good so I added an additional 1.5 mi or so. Ran the hills well which was my goal. :)

  19. RUN
    good 5.04 mi 00:45 09:00 pace

Nothing fancy - just didn't want to freeze by running outside. Gave me the opportunity to watch Sheryl Sandberg's Dec. 2010 TED talk. :)
