Hat, headband, neck gaiter, 2 jackets, long sleeve shirt, tights, knee high wool socks, sport socks. I think I was well prepared.

  6. VELO
    great 9.3 mi 00:40 14.0mph pace

Enough to get all sweaty and start season 3 of AHS.

  7. RUN
    good 4.31 mi 00:42 09:49 pace

2 jackets and a long sleeve shirt isn't overdoing it, right? Windy and chilly!

  8. RUN

Beautiful run under the stars in the country.

  9. VELO

  10. VELO
    great 9.4 mi 00:40 14.1mph pace

Took to the bike again. Had some tummy issues right before I was about to set out to run. Didn't want to chance it. Will run tomorrow. :)

  12. RUN
    great 3.37 mi 00:34 09:59 pace

Doing whatever I feel like doing without the pressure of training for an impending race. Oh, and trying to survive in cold temps. ;)

If it makes you feel better, I get that way too after races. You train and train for a race, and then after it's over, you are physically and mentally drained. It's good to to give your body a rest. Taking a week off is good after a marathon, and starting back slowly is wise. Don't beat yourself up about this. You're doing great and being smart about it.

Wait Wait is always great! Just because you aren't motivated now doesn't mean you won't get the fire back. Just give it time!

Just enough to work up a sweat. Need to get back on the bandwagon now that NYCM is over. I've had no motivation this past week for running or cycling. Boo.

  15. RUN
great ING NYC Marathon 26.2 mi 06:39 15:13 pace

  16. RUN
    great 3.01 mi 00:31 10:11 pace

Wonderfully comfortable shakeout run in preparation for NYCM! Ran through my childhood neighborhood here in eastern Queens. Thought about tomorrow's start, finish, and the party in between. :)

  17. RUN

A combination run walk on the hotel treadmill. My threshold for treadmill running is pretty low unfortunately. But, better to do something than nothing.
