great Time dilated spin class 00:45
I've noticed this time dilation effect before. As my long runs increase in time, other exercise I do appears 'shorter'. This spin class whizzed by (excuse the pun).

great SLOW long distance run 16 km 01:53 11:20 pace
Really slow, and solely determined by heart rate limit of 140, which should be the edge of my aerobic zone. Apart from the 500m where I got buzzed by seagulls. Had to run a little faster then :)

blah Hill repeats: bonked 7 km 01:00 13:47 pace
6 x hill repeats of 30 seconds run with recovery walk down was all it took to make me bonk. I was seriously shredded. In the 3 x undulating trail 600m to follow, I felt just awful on the first lap,... read more

Ooo ouch! Give yourself some time Sarb and don't be too hard on yourself. Perhaps a few more easy miles in the bank first might be a kinder approach to your body :)

Thanks, Nic. I'm sure they will. I tend to see a lag of about 3 weeks, but I haven't extended long runs at the same time as a training cycle of speed work. So, will be curious to see how my body responds. Sure, will do when it come to that long run :)

I've always done it slowly in classes in London. Seems to be done fast in the two classes I've had here. Hmmm. Not so sure.
