Not a bad day afterall. I wish I had more time to prepare and care for my glute/hamstring issue. It was quite sore the entire run, but not enough to stop. I got caught up in a few crowds that slowed me, but I motored up the hills feeling pretty strong. I am pleased to finish faster than last year (3 mins faster) and know I could have done more.

    Good effort there! I have to agree with your comment about crowds - it was awful at the start (I was in blue) as a lot of us had to do a lot of weaving because there were so many walkers! I'm not a speedster, but I didn't think there would be walkers in the blue group along William St!
