  4. RUN
good Columbus Half Marathon 13.1 mi 03:21 15:20 pace

The first half felt awesome and I was so sure I would finish under 3 hours. But the 2nd half kicked my butt a bit and I walked a lot. I hit a major wall around mile 8. But I finished. YAY!!

  5. RUN
    good 13.13 mi 03:24 15:32 pace

My garmin said I only went 12, which was making me feel bad about my time. But I had a striking feeling I lost signal somewhere (I had mapped out this route, but had to do some improv on the end b... read more

Woohoo! Way to go! I also love the Heritage Trail. It's flat and never boring. I am very jealous of the people who live right there and can just walk out the backyard and be on it.

  6. RUN
    great 8.6 mi 02:08 14:53 pace

First off, my garmin & my 'hood hate each other. Garmin said I only went 7.94 . . . I like this calculation better (and I *knew* it had to be farther!!)! Stupid 100 yr old trees messing ... read more

Way to go! That's great the knee is liking the 4:2 so much. You are going kick butt at the half in 3 weeks (though I completely understand the freaking out thing)!

    Why not bike 3 miles to eat dinner {after a 5 mile run}. :)

  8. RUN
    good 5.22 mi 01:24 16:05 pace

Did the 4:2 run/walk thing again. Took routes in the 'hood where I knew the streets wouldn't be slanted (thus bothering my knee. Stupid old neighborhoods!). Overall felt pretty good.

Thanks Lindsey! I do . . . well, at least I find I'm not nearly as sore - especially the next day. It really slows me down, but at this point I'll take it over the knee pain (and not that I was that fast to begin with. Ha!)

AND YOU DID IT!! Way to go! I have had runs like this A LOT lately and I know how you feel! But, you got the miles in and time on your feet and that is what matters! You will have bad days and better days and fantastic days, but you didn't give up - that's what counts!!

Way to go, Sara! Don't EVER this you are failing! I know exactly how you feel and this week, my goal is to NOT beat myself up by what I am "not" doing! Whatever I do, is a step in the right direction. Many people I train with really like interval/run-walk training - and some people swear by it! I am interested to hear more about how it goes!

I definitely agree with Sara, don't ever feel like you are failing. You have done such an awesome job with your training! It's really frustrating when your body and brain seem to be on different plans and one decides to walk when the other doesn't agree. I've also heard wonderful things about walk/run interval training so you'll have to keep us posted. I'd love to hear how it's working out! Keep your head up and be proud of all that you've accomplished!
