In 2010 I had massive brain surgery, followed by spinal cord surgery. I'm trying to find my way back to the runner I used to be.
Sara Santiago i love my dailymile f...
Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.
I love my Dailymile Family.
I woke up at 4:44 this morning, feeling a little nervous. It happens once in awhile. Most of the time I can't wait for the surgery, but once in awhile the doubt creeps in. "What if it doesn't work?" "What if I get worse?" All those terrible nagging no-good doubts! BAH! So, I do what I always do when I wake up too early. I check the interwebs. And this is what I found:
Some of the same amazing people who ran a heart for me back in May (before surgery #1) got all sneaky again and did something awesome, and hilarious, and wonderful!
Some of them biked a mustache shaped route that they named "Crash for the Stache", Some ran a "Dash for the Stache" and others ran or walked a "Beer Run", in the shape of a beer mug. Why?
Because I love a good mustache (because it's hilarious) and I love beer (because it's delicious). And they love me. And now I'm crying again. I am so blessed. These wonderful friends make my life awesome. I love them all so very much.
Thank you Mike C., Sarah S., Sarah B., Anne M., Rochelle V., Kay C., Mosey, Bruce D., Amy K., Augie S. (smooch), Tracey G. (and Tracey's whole family!)
I love you guys. xo
