Still taking it short, slow and easy. My goal for the year is to run an average of 25 miles a week - I'll build up there!

good Home Treadmill 1.7 mi 00:20 11:45 pace
I was away travelling in Ghana for the last few weeks so I wasn't running but staying active hiking and mountains. I wanted to take it easy for my first run back (and first of the year!).

great Home Elliptical 00:30
Only 30 mins at a moderate effort but it felt great to sweat again! Muscle soreness from the marathon is gone but some joints are still a bit achy. :)

I'm still sore but not as Frankenstein-y. Today I went for a leisurely walk and I'm going to yoga class tomorrow.
All I want to do is run... heal body heal! I can't wait until I... read more

good Outside 5.4 mi 01:06 12:13 pace
Got new headphones and it was nice to be back outside. The central round button on my iPod Nano broke off in my hand while running. I have no idea how/why it happened. *shakes fist in the air*

RUN
good Home Treadmill 2.25 mi 00:24 10:39 pace
Short run so I sped it up. I watched some Hawaii Five-0 and dreamed about running along a tropical beach. At least I don't have to worry about sunscreen on the dreadmill!

good Home Treadmill (followed by 1... 10.2 mi 02:03 12:03 pace
2 hrs on Treadmill followed by 1 hr Elliptical (didn't want to stress my leg too much). I watched a zombie film with slow moving zombies that I'd have no problem outrunning. BRAINsssSSSsss

It's good to find a properly motivating film to keep up the morale. Rule number 1: cardio.

good Home Treadmill 5 mi 01:00 12:00 pace
Headphones are broken. Ran on treadmill while watching stupid TV shows. I think I watched the clock more than the TV. Boring!
-
Ugh! I know that feeling. If I leave my headphones at home, I'm stuck watching all the stupid stuff on those tvs at the gym! Good job sticking it through the boring stuff.
