  1. Trocanteric bursitis. Benched, again. ARGH!!! The second I'm able, I'm going to get a trainer and fix this shiz. (Hips really don't lie, apparently.)

      That's a tough one, Sandy. That's all you can do-- maintain your level the best you can with substitute workouts until you get to the root of the problem. Hope your Thursday appointment helps!

      Thanks guys ~ think I'm just going to take an extra rest day and see what happens. I've been down the "push through it" road before and lost months of running that way. I'd rather scale back now then end up benched again. ;)

      rest would be good... and then finding some hip strengthening exercises that you can do... no reason to push through it...

    6 miles on the treadmill . . . which required a great deal of mental toughness because, like everyone else here, I am not a big fan of the treadmill! But did it. Woo-hoo!

    100 air squats, 50 sumo squats, 50 plie squats, 50 skater squats, 50 frog squats; 50 glute bridges, 50 supermans, plank series, 50 reverse crunches, 25 pushups (hand release)

    Longest run post-injury. Felt good, strong. Keep the pace even and didn't give in to the temptation to crank up the speed on the treadmill to get it done faster. Really happy!

    1 mile fast to warm up, abs/core strength, 1 mile fast to wind down. Saved upper body/back for the shovel-fest this evening.

    Legs felt heavy at first but loosened up. Nudging up the pace a little in intervals. Slow and steady! So far my knee is feeling great, even with the increased miles.

      Great news on the knee! Plus, I always find the tm tweaks anything that is already crooked, so if you are feeling no pain, that's really good.
