    I didn't bring water, and had not eaten anything. I had to walk most of the way back. A sort of PR, but not because I don't feel like I accomplished anything except wearing myself out.

    It's time for a new pair of running shoes. They are hurting me. I just got them in march, but I suppose I have put a lot of miles on them in that short time.

    It started pouring halfway through my run. When I became drenched I slowed down a bit...clothes became difficult to manage...streaking crossed my mind. lol

  8. #dailymission Well, since it has gotten to where it is 100 degrees by noon I wake up at a quarter til 6, drink my coffee...wake up a tad...and go around 630am. It's dawn, but not pre-dawn.

      I love half way marks. I have a certain spot where I turn around to come back home. I try to get in as many miles as I can before reaching that spot so when I do turn around it won't seem as tough and i know "I've made it this far I can certainly make it the next 2miles."

      Do you add side roads and such to increase the mileage before you halfway mark or something?

      yes. I live close to an intersection (not very busy early in the morning). I'll run the streets in my neighborhood and then run the parking lots of 2schools by us followed by a couple of intersections, then run a huge parking lot all before turning around. when I finally turn around there is only 2miles left. I have to oppportunity to get in almost 6miles before reaching that point. otherwise if I ran straight there and then turn around it would be around 4 miles.
