Finally completed my first marathon :) I have to say I have an even greater respect for marathoners. It was such a tough race!! I was definitely physically unprepared for this race (among other things). It felt like my legs were whacked with a baseball bat, many many times :/ But in the end, I was able to tough it out and finish and now I can finally call myself a marathoner!!
Definitely want to thank everyone on DM for their support, it made training for this race a lot easier :)

3 months agoPhong, congratulations big time. It took me until my third before breaking four hours. Also, Rock N' Roll SD is not one of the easiest courses around. However, you endured and yes, you can now call yourself a marathoner! Take care and recover!
3 months agoGood job on getting through your first marathon. I think they are always a bit of a shock the first time out - until you've gone that far, it is hard to really wrap your mind around the distance. You did very well for a first time marathon.
