  3. greatEasy Eight 8 mi

Didn't feel like doing 10, but 5 was too less for a long day. After the first couple of miles, I felt really warmed up and comfortable. It had rained the day before so it was perfect weather conditions to run. Was able to really pick it up the last cou... read more

  4. goodFast Friday Run 5 mi / 00:36 07:12 pace

Haven't ran hard in a while, so thought I'd give it a shot. Nice progressives with a 6:33 last mile. Felt pretty good throughout, until the very end when I noticed my hip acting up again. It appears that it only hurts when running fast, so I either hav... read more

  6. goodEasy 5 5 mi

Another easy run, felt better toward the end and was able to pick it up a little bit. Didn't notice any hip pain, which was a plus.

Glad that the hip pain is easing. My hips and I have had issues in the past - it's no fun.

  7. Anyone have any experience with The Stick (thestick.com), does it actually help? Which one would be the best one for a runner? Thanks!

I used one for a few years. I thought it helped w/ recovery. I just had the small travel size.

I've used one off and on. I don't really break it out unless I am doing some serious mileage. Seems like it works, though it hurts like a *^& at first.

I swear by it for my calves but not much else. Foam rollers for hips and other places. Go with the Travel size Stick. It's all you'll need.

I use mine all the time after workouts to help massage out any muscle soreness. Usually feel quite a bit of relief the next day. May hurt...a lot! But that's how you know its working

  8. alrightCase of the Mondays 5 mi

Had cramps throughout most of the run, but ran it off. Although it was cold this morning, I was definitely dehydrated because I kept thinking about how much I wanted to get something to drink right after I finished my run.

  9. It appears that I ran the most miles (147) in a month since I started running again in March '09. And I didn't run for 7 whole days for various reasons. Can't wait to see what I can do in the upcoming months!
