      Good luck! The golf ball trick always works for me- although it's not really a golf ball, it's a golf ball sized ball covered with little massager nubs. It's the same thing Rgbytrtl mentioned.

      Heh, I love the metaphor!! You know, I didn't see any injuries until my second marathon training cycle, and now I know that i have to be careful - but that first time, it was like I was invincible!

      Join a gym! Most will give you a quick orientation on how to use the equipment. Some even have trainers that will set you up with a training plan based on your goals!

      I agree with the others; you should join a gym and once there start going to a couple of fitness classes. That will give you a chance to work with a few of the trainers. Once you find one you like approach them about helping you with the other equipment.
