Wet!Wet!Wet! im feeling much better this afternoon - maybe I was doing too much!Thankyou all for your encouragement,I know I need to do this for myself & I know I mustn't make running another pressure in my already messy life!Mind you - I still soooo want to speed up!!I Lol! I think circuits in the school field is likely to be cancelled this evening - we're more than a little rained out!Looks like it may be an evening of olympics instead!

ENjoy those Olympics instead!! Great 2 miles with your dogs!!

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Virtually every one who runs wants to run faster you are not alone in that wish. The only way to get faster is 90%+ slow running, less than 10% should be faster. slow & fast are relative terms, keep it slow at a pace you can hold a full conversation, take walk breaks if needed, Above all ENJOY what you are doing.

I think it's fantastic that you're getting out there! Stressing about the pace only takes the joy away. Enjoy the journey!

I'm glad today's activity went better! Even in the wet weather. We all want to speed up, and you will, but at your own pace. Enjoy your evening, be it out or in!

Ruthie - you are doing great! Speed will come or it won't...it isn't work wearing yourself down or injury..try mixing a little (I mean 15 - 30 seconds only) of elevated speed - it has helped me somewhat.
