No pain in the left knee too severe. Just a lil discomfort but really hoping this gets the ball rolling. Did some leg and hip exercises so I'm really hoping this IT Band situation goes away. Just have to be cautious....

Nice, Russell. Have you tried foam rolling? That (along with hip & leg exercises) really helped my ITBS.

Definitely try it. When I was at my worst, I foam rolled 2-3 times a day and it really loosened things up. Now I do it 3-4 times a week as maintenance. You can also use a rolling pin if you have one on hand.

Russell, I have the same problem with my right knee....so frustrating. I'm foam rolling and it helps but I need to be more diligent about doing it multiple times per day. Also, ice pre and post-run can help.

Good mile to get back to it! Those who have suggested foam rollers are right. I know last time you ran some miles I mentioned on your comments I had a friend with a severely tight IT and her DR suggested a roller. She says it has been working really well.

Andrew. Def will invest in one. I have been doing some stretches before and after running....hoping it continues to make progress.
