Hi, my name is Chris. I ended my running streak after 135 days. I'll keep trying to run better and wiser. I'm blogging about my run and my corgis :-)

Track and share your training!
Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.
One of my furry running partner :-) I took this picture today with my phone after we ran 5 miles but he didn't look that tired. After the photo break, we ran one more mile.

Too cute! Wish my little guy liked running- walking is his forte. Nice miles!

Awww!!! Pictures like these make me want a cute dog like that, who wants to run, and is house trained, and won't chew my furniture, and do laundry...and dishes...and cook on occasion. No!?! .....I'll just have to enjoy your pictures then.

@Adrianna, my other corgi is easily distracted but she is getting better :-)
@Kirsten, corgis are surprisingly sturdy dog. They are herding breed and those little legs are not easily tired. We ran 6 miles today :-)

I need to get my Corgis into better shape like yours! Bandit (my male) gets tired after about 1 mile. Smokie (female) is a little better and can go for 1+, but 6? Wow! That's great! I know they have it in them. I'm trying to work with them on not being distracted when we run. You know, stopping at every other mailbox to smell! They are getting better. Yours are so cute! What are their names?

@Margaret, I love your corgis' names!! My 4yr old male corgi is Jeter - yes, THAT Jeter:-) - and 2yr old female corgi is Cappy - short for captain.
I let them go to do their business before we start to run. During the run, I give them some water/bathroom breaks but they are trained to focus on running. Jeter used to run 9 - 10 miles with me when I trained for the marathon. I just increased his mileage gradually.

My corgi Lillie can do six with me as well. She knows that the warmup walk is the time to sniff & pee etc. once we start running she's all business, she even ignored a rabbit yesterday.
