I finally did it! 10x Yasso 1/2 mile intervals, all held at a steady 3:14 (6:27mm) pace. A few weeks ago I was really hurting when I tried to get 8 Yassos done, so I didn't know how I was going to make it to 10! I adjusted when I ate during the day before this workout and watched my hydration, so getting the workout done was much better than it had been. Amazingly, even a hard-head like me can learn from his mistakes!

The treadmills I run on are set to cool down automatically after an hour, so I focused on getting all 10 intervals done before the hour was up. It actually worked out well: I jogged for 2:45, then did the interval to the next 6 minute increment. Doing them this way made it really east to keep track of what number I was on. I got to 8.15 miles inside the hour, so I reset the machine and ran 1.85 more on the cooldown to have a nice, even 10 mile workout.

Next week I plan on running 10x Yassos again, but this time on the track to help me remember the speed pace completely under my own power. I hate this workout (it's hard!), but I know it's netting results so I'll keep doing them!
