    great 6.1 mi 00:53 08:44 pace

Group run of hill repeats. Super humid running under a canopy of trees but it was a good workout.

  2. RUN
    great 5 mi 00:41 08:13 pace

First weekday, morning run of the spring/summer. Really happy to have it out of the way in the cooler temps.

    great 2013 Run with Dad 5K 3.2 mi 00:27 08:29 pace

This was the second year that I ran this race with my god daughter, Olivia (8-yrs. old). She ran yet another PR, by 2-miuntes!!! Her mom asked how I motivate her and I just said that I yell at he... read more

great Group Long Run 14 mi 02:03 08:45 pace

First group run for the marathon training program. It was really nice to see some old friends and run with others as I've been on my own for a while.

  6. RUN
    good 6.34 mi 00:53 08:25 pace

Nice run after the storm. No damage in our area, so we got lucky.

  7. RUN
    good 6.24 mi 00:51 08:10 pace

Hot but I didn't feel the humidity too much while running. Once I got home the sweat started to pour.

  8. RUN
    great 6.23 mi 00:52 08:20 pace

Great run punctuated by periods of severe downpours. Fortunately no lightening. Otherwise it was pretty pleasant given the extreme humidity.

  9. RUN
    good 12.01 mi 01:42 08:29 pace

Just another long run. Considering I haven't run in two weeks, this wasn't the best way to get back into it but the run went well. I need to get some consistency with marathon training... read more

  10. RUN
    great 10.07 mi 01:23 08:14 pace

This was a bad week of running for me in terms of mileage and opportunities, so I'm glad I got out there today. Another 10 miles tomorrow will be a good way to get back on track. Overall thi... read more

    alright 6.27 mi 00:52 08:14 pace

Today was a bit warm and humid and I felt it. Blah. Can't wait to be able to start running in the morning before work.

  12. RUN
    great 11.2 mi 01:34 08:21 pace

I didn't get too many miles in this week so I kept the long run a bit shorter today. Might do another 10 tomorrow so the weekly total doesn't look so bad.

  13. RUN
    good 6.28 mi 00:52 08:20 pace

This ended up being a decent run. I didn't want to go at first but that feeling wore off after the first half-mile. It is a bit chilly here and my office was freezing. As a result, I'v... read more

  14. RUN
    good 13.16 mi 01:52 08:31 pace

Despite some lower GI issues (read between the lines), this was a good run. It's supposed to be really rainy today but when I woke up it wasn't and that was the forecast for the next 2-h... read more

Got the run in before the rain!

  16. RUN
    alright 6.28 mi 00:52 08:19 pace

First run of the week. It's been difficult to schedule. Four more weeks and I'll be able to run in the morning before going to work. This run felt alright but I was a little stiff.

  17. RUN
    great 13.14 mi 01:53 08:34 pace

Beautiful morning for a run. This was one of those days where I felt like I could go on forever. It was effortless and peaceful. Enjoy your weekend!!

  18. RUN
    great 6.26 mi 00:52 08:19 pace

Late evening run with a mile of marathon pace thrown in. I'm supposed to run 26.2-mi that fast - ha! Seems hard to believe.

Yup, I can do the 26.2 but it always surprises me that my conditioning at the beginning of marathon training is so far off from what it'll be by race day. The difference is dramatic compared to training for a 10K or something. When we start speed workouts in marathon training, it's really apparent. During the first one, there is a lot of huffing-and-puffing. By the last one, everyone's breathing is a lot more controlled.

  19. RUN
    good 6.26 mi 00:53 08:27 pace

A nice, comfortable, weekday run. The only challenge was that I ate dinner just before I ran, so that made it somewhat interesting, but nothing note-worthy to report. The light rain felt good.
