    Hi Rachel, iSR is known to work flawlessly.
    If cadence wasn't registered most probably the app wasn't in the foreground (this is an Apple requirement). If GPS didn't work please check your phone's location permissions under Settings->Location Services->iSmoothRun. For any problem don't hesitate to contact us: info at ismoothrun dot com.     Thank you for your help @ismoothrun I am going to try and use the app again this morning for my speed run. I am thinking it was user error... and am looking forward to the app doing what I have heard it can do. :)
