good A Celebratory Birthday Ride 37.98 mi 03:00 12.6mph pace

Beside knee was stiffy a little iffy and I didn't want to chance it by running 37K today...I decided to celebrate via a morning ride instead. I took the first half kinda fast. Halfway through, I decided that just riding through the parks was getting sorta boring, so I decided to take pictures of the trails and parks I was riding through. There are pretty magnificent but I'd never pay attention to them or cared to anyway. So today I made a conscious decision to enjoy my surroundings and stopped whenever I felt like to take a picture or two. By the time I was done, I had 37 miles, 37 pictures and felt happy about life again! Sure, it took a lot longer than it was supposed to and the speed wasn't anything to write home about, but at least I got to do this and celebrate it MY WAY.

I felt tired and exhausted by the end though so even though I thought about transitioning quickly to a run, but by the end, I think I will just let it be.
