Maybe it was the unseasonably cool and mild temps this morning. Maybe it was the fact that I hadn't run a fast long run for quite some time, but whatever it was, I had an usually great monday morning long run today.

I really just wanted to make sure I could hit 7min/mi for 12-14 miles because I'm pacing the LTR #1 in a couple of weeks and that's the pace I'm aiming to hit for 16 miles. So I woke up on the earlier side today and hit the streets before my body had a chance to complain. I felt great for the opening miles, maintaining low 6:50s pace. My goal was to hit 6:55 avg by mid-point so I'd have some room to slow down if I had to, but I didn't really need it today. My effort and pace was nearly consistent the whole way.
