I took 2 electrolyte tablets before both workouts. A nice change in comparison to Gatorade, which usually upsets my stomach. So far, I think I have found a solution to that dilemma. I was playing with my pace on the TM while practicing ChiRunning. It's tasky to do "the lean" when you're trying not to bonk heads with the TM dashboard. Felt good to sweat overall :-P

To keep yourself from bonking the tradmill try increasing the incline slightly, this helps me.

@Marty/Rob - Before each run I usually chew antacid tablets to avoid heartburns but I didn't need it today.
@Vicky - I've used JB Sports beans and tried 3 flavors only to find it upsets my stomach too.
@Nolan - I use Endurox Excel, ordered it from Road Runner Sports 2 wks ago.
