Crap! My race filled up. Now what? Take advantage of living in the Northeast and register for another race, that's what. Goodbye Hyannis. Hello Half at the Hamptons.
How about calling their race director and seeing if they would like to come on your podcast for an interview and then let you start with the early runners.
I traded Hampton for Hyannis this year, glad I got in early. You'll like Hampton, nice course. Flat and last part along water. Cross fingers for nice weather.
I feel your pain. The Houston Marathon \ Half Marathon is tomorrow morning and I was unable to register in time, so I won't be running this year. The race(s) sold out within a 72 hour period when registration for the event opened last July.
Bad Paulie indeed.
@Sandi - would love to. Someday.
@Joyce and Nik - I obviously didn't think it was that popular either. I was shocked.
@Ally and Dena and Bruce- you're right. more runners = earlier fills ups. Lesson learned.
@Ann - that was a good idea, but I already signed up for the Hamptons. Didn't want to risk getting bumped twice.
@Teresa - glad to hear it. Enjoy Hyannis and I'll enjoy Hampton Beach. Hope you have nice weather too.
Bad Paulie!! At least you have a half to look forward to!
2 months agoI had that feeling when I tried to register for the Camp Pendleton Mud Run :( I bet the Half at the Hamptons is going to be a picturesque run.
BTW - Thanks for the article, very helpful. Low fat Choc Milk is on my shopping list!
