  1. greatC-SPAN Trainer Ride 15.86 mi / 01:00 15.9mph pace

After my failed long run earlier today I made amends with inner demons and got on the trainer. I watched the final debates and vote on C-SPAN while doing my part to stay healthy.

  2. Post a book review? Well, I recommend The Marathon Method by Tom Holland http://bit.ly/D49hR I used it for my first marathon training plan. I also recommend 26 Miles to Boston by Michael Connelly http://bit.ly/9cXo8u It's a great read for anyone in... read more

  3. injuredLong Run FAIL 2.34 mi

Feeling high after yesterday's race, so I decided to try a long run this week. Left tibia was killing me. Called it quits. I see a trainer ride in my future after the kids go to bed tonight.

Bummer. I had a failed long run today, too, so I feel your pain. Hope your leg feels better fast!

After a week & a half of swimming & cycling (cross training cardio) it is race day and time to try running. Inspired by the success Trace B had with her ITB, I tried Kinesio tape for my tibia pain. Astute viewers will notice I had to shave a l... read more

I have my fingers crossed on the KT Tape for the ITB for my run tomorrow. Could you post the link to Trace's experience? It would be helpful to me.

  7. My friend Vanessa http://www.dailymile.com/people/valler is training for the Providence College 5K. She's a good runner and new to dailymile. If you don't add her, all your toenails will turn black. Too late? See, you waited too long. Add her quick.

  8. good35th Annual Holyoke St. Patri... 6.21 mi / 00:57 09:14 pace

Proper race report to follow - but Reader's Digest version - had fun - ran with double stroller - slowest 10K ever because of runner congestion - started at back of 4800 pack and managed to pass 2900+ of them by finish line.

Nice job with the double stroller. This is Holyoke's shinning day. Amazingly popular race - so can understand the congestion. Bummed that I missed it. Again, nice one.

Passing half the race with a double stroller is hard, just trying to be good about negotiating those passes is tough mental work!

Very nice. It was a super-hot day even for those of us without strollers. Definitely not ready for summer heat in March! Ran about 1:10 slower than last year, but placed higher in my age group and overall in spite of 20% larger field, so apparently I wasn't the only one struggling.

Daddy and Daughter representin' dailymile on the slopes. Sadly, last ski trip of the season, but 70 degrees was a pleasant farewell.

Another day on the slopes with my newest lil' ski rat. She did three consecutive summit runs without a fall. Not to bad for a three year old, huh?

Awesome! Starting to ski at 3 is very very soon! I started at 4,5 and I remember how hard it can be for a child to move with boots and all the gear!
