  1. goodGym Workout: Rowing & Cycling 11 mi / 01:00

5000m on the rowing machine in 30 min.
8 miles (actually 8.25) on stationary bike in 30 min.

Gym had unusually light traffic this morning; must be the previous night's green beer keeping people away.

  2. alrightMesa Madera Loop 3 mi / 00:30 10:00 pace

Very hilly loop in my former neighborhood w/in Scripps Ranch. Hard to believe I once found this loop easy. Good reality check - and still no pain. Now to just work on the gain.

  3. tiredGym Workout: Rowing & Elliptical 6 mi / 01:00

I wanted so badly to sleep in after feasting with friends at a Cantonese restaurant last night and then staying up late. Now, of course, I'm glad I got to the gym before work, even if the workout dragged.

  4. Abbreviated Salmon River Loop 4 mi / 00:43 10:45 pace

I'm curious to know if your hiatus fully healed you too-- b/c I'm wondering if I have to give in to a real rest time like you did to make sure my hip heals properly... keep posting about it.

  6. tiredGym Workout: Row & Weights 3 mi / 01:00

A migraine medication made me drowzy this morning, but I did hit the 5000m mark in 30 minutes, which is a good rowing pace for me.

  7. My inspirational quote for the Daily question:

It is not more than you can handle.
It is merely more than you thought you could.

I LOVE this. Thank you. My mom has a similar saying "You're never given more than you can handle", but I like the last line in yours. thanks!

  10. Good to read that the Chelsea King tragedy here is having an immediate impact. Haven't seen a single outdoors runner with earphones since her body was found.

Yeah, this is still weighing heavily here. A lot of discussions in my house about running safety.

So sad. I really feel for her family and the running community here in San Diego.
