Gym had unusually light traffic this morning; must be the previous night's green beer keeping people away.
Return to the track after a protracted injury. Can't wait to resume 800s and tempo runs.

Very hilly loop in my former neighborhood w/in Scripps Ranch. Hard to believe I once found this loop easy. Good reality check - and still no pain. Now to just work on the gain.
I wanted so badly to sleep in after feasting with friends at a Cantonese restaurant last night and then staying up late. Now, of course, I'm glad I got to the gym before work, even if the workout dragged.
Right on Anne! That's the spirit. Way to 'make it happen'!

3 days agoWow, according to DM, the last time I did this run was almost 5 months ago. It used to be one of my regular loops pre-injury.

3 days agoI'm curious to know if your hiatus fully healed you too-- b/c I'm wondering if I have to give in to a real rest time like you did to make sure my hip heals properly... keep posting about it.

Pretty good varaiety, even without the run!
6 days agoA migraine medication made me drowzy this morning, but I did hit the 5000m mark in 30 minutes, which is a good rowing pace for me.
Darn good rowing pace. Hope the headache is better.

Good to read that the Chelsea King tragedy here is having an immediate impact. Haven't seen a single outdoors runner with earphones since her body was found.
