    I felt so slow and choppy. main set was 3 x 500 with a goal of negative spits. 8:59 (egads), 8:54 and 8:41. I have work to do. Swam with hubby and kids and that was awesome.

    Another evening workout. I'm not skipping. DId 10 minutes of hip openers / strengtheners after this. Awesome.

      Great work finishing the race!!! I take immodium ad before every race half distance or longer. Totally avoid that issue. Also, might want to try honey stingers gel or chomps. They work great! I used them for a half ironman, along with the immodium and no GI issues!

    time trials. 2 sets of 500. Meant to be negative splits. My time: 8:15. Both times. :0 I could have sworn I was faster the second set. Glad to have a starting point.

    Wow. That was beautiful! And very challenging. I felt great through the first 8 miles and then started to have stomach issues. Proud that I completed it - even though it wasn't pretty.

    12 minute mile pace average. Hard. Fiddled with nutrition. Ran every hill. Glad I covered the distance.

      Life always intrudes but that's what it is. You make do, make adjustments. The hardest thing is not letting the missed workouts snowball into more. You'll get there again.
