      Instead of a birthday cake for my father, we had a strawberry-rhubarb pie. He's a Type 2 diabetic, so we do try to keep the sugar numbers in an acceptable range. :-)

    Started off feeling sluggish and heavy. Finding a nice pace was beyond my body and mind. The time spent waiting for my Mom gave me some much-needed regroup time and the pace was better after that.

    Does yard work count as fitness? Despite having some help with the larger aspects, 3 hours of pruning, weeding and hauling felt like squats and stretching with gardening implements in hand.
