    I had my first ever trail mishap. I managed to roll my ankle towards the end, but I think it's going to be fine. It could have been much worse. Other than that, a great night with a great group.

      Trail rolled ankles are much different than road rolled ankles. They are only half rolls on the trail. Or, perhaps the scenery distracts you from the pain.....

    Feeling much better today, almost all the soreness is gone. I did abs and some hip work afterwards. I started reading John Bingham's book "The Accidental Athlete". I love it.

      I never said that I want to race faster. Races aren't races for me. They're great big group runs. I train by myself, I don't have any running partners. Races are where I go to be with other runners and get my mileage in. I've never been fast, I'll most likely never be fast. But I'll keep showing up and having a good time!

    A gorgeous evening out there tonight. Slow going to enjoy it all, until the end when I tried to keep up with a faster runner. Downhill brings out the competition.

      Ha! Try the streak, and the ubiquitous 1 mile efforts to keep a streak alive. Definitely surreal to put in a high mileage weekend, then recover with 1 mile trots. :) Si, I hear ya loud and clear, Ultra Grrrl!

      I never think it's worth the effort- it takes as long to get ready for the run as it does to run! But miles are miles!

    I finally got on the treadmill and got some miles in. I was distracted by my new pet frogs. It's so relaxing to watch them swimming around.

      I love frogs and toads!!! What kind did you get? I used to have a South American horned frog (i.e. pacman frog) in college.
