I'm just going to come right out and admit it: my legs are a bit tired. I could definitely feel it today. However, this run felt great, and I still picked it up quite a bit at the end. I think I'm going to have to convince myself to take the next two days off.
In other news, shortly after I rounded the corner at 1st and Rochester a guy (I don't think I know him...) smiled really big at me and said, "You're a maniac!" In all honesty I have no idea why he would say that. More specifically, I can think of several reasons, which was was his? Does he know about the voices? Anyway, that interaction left me happy for the rest of my run.

Jeez - you've heard the voices too? heh. Good run in some tough conditions.

The voices are why I run. Honestly I am loving these conditions. Yeah, I guess it's pretty hot out, but it hasn't bothered me.

I wonder if that was the old man I saw staring, I imagine nostalgically or maybe just desultorily, into a vacant lot. My amateur opinion is that you SHOULD take the next two days off and then kick some ass at Park to Park.

Oh, didn't realize you were doing Park to Park as well -- that'll be fun! Hopefully I'll finish in time to see you. Were you trying to give fruit snacks to that old man staring at the vacant lot or something?
