RICE, RICE baby! :-) Ice on the knee, but feeling good! Maybe I shouldn't have tried to jog just yet, but I was feeling good. All the good advice that Chris G. said I would get from the great people here (which I have received!) is all making sense now. I have decreased the distance to avoid TMTS (? - did I get that right?), I'm listening to my body and taking it easy. On the first night I walked/jogged I jogged only .05 miles, and I was dying! Today, since I was feeling good, even the blisters feel better, I thought I'd give jogging another try. The term "jogging" is used very loosely since it was the pace of a brisk walk, but still. After .33 I started to get discomfort in the knee so I walked for .25. At which point I was feeling better again and jogged the same distance (.33) back to the house. During that short time I realized that 1- I CAN do this! 2- This actually feels good. 3- I enjoy this time of quiet, just me and the road, to think and reflect on the day and my goals. Now, I'm not from the South, I'm Cuban born, so I don't know where this is coming from, but I feel the urge to say "I'm liking this y'all!" :-)

Thanks guys. I feel so good today after this small victory for me, it's hard to describe. Having been extremely overweight for half of my life now hasn't been easy, so these little "wins" for me are priceless. Chris - Honestly, you were there first one to inspire me with your passion for this barefoot madness. Like I told you, your passion came through loud and clear through an email. You sparked my curiosity and I'm so grateful for it.

    Nice Job:

Double wow, awesome city, Ros... holy cow you're using acronyms now. Bet you're reading Born To Run. I'm so glad you're enjoying yourself. Tiny steps are huge leaps in many ways. Isn't the solitude nice?
