alright Week 2 Walk/Jog Route 1 mi 00:20 19:59 pace

I stand by my original statement. Chris is insane! lol I gave walking barefoot another try. 1 mile this time, so that's better. Although I mainly walked (jogged very short distances a few times) I gotta say, it's not as bad as I thought. Maybe because the ground was cool and it is night time it felt better. Not sure. All in all, the pain in my ankles and feet are still killer but the shins today, not so much. I think I'll try this insanity yet again. Oh... and the best part. My husband sees me walking out the door I say "I'll be back, going for a walk" - husband "aren't you forgetting something? You have no shoes on" - Me "Yeah I know, it's ok" - Husband "are you insane?" LOL Yep... that's the only way to describe it. :)

Your husband has it backwards. Running in shoes is insane. Running barefoot makes - and keeps - you sane.

That's 'cause you're part of the insanity, Alan! LOL ... I kid, I kid... I honestly hope that going barefoot will help with these pains. It's going to be a much slower start than anticipated, but I'm doing it. These extra 120-140 lbs I have on me gotta go! Thanks for the support!

Great progress.I am with Alan and Chris...barefoot running takes time to develop but you will end up running light, easy smooth with less injuries.

Nice one, Rosemary! You are going about things absolutely the right way by starting off with short walk/jogs. Keep it up :)
