  2. RUN
    10 miles - part 1 13.02 km 01:21 10:02 pace

Needed to get 15 kms today to get to my goal of 161 kms - decided to go for 16 kms instead! Couldn't keep up this pace beyond 13 kms but this might be my longest run at this pace so I was happ... read more

  3. RUN
    Easy run 13.85 km 01:37 11:14 pace

Well, slow paced run, anyway. Legs were all stiff for the first 6k or so (forcing me to walk parts of it) but after that, it was a nice run!

  4. RUN
A little power walk 4.22 km 00:32 12:06 pace stretch from sitting for too long!

  5. RUN
HM for January 21.11 km 02:19 10:36 pace

Managed to do some grading and then went for a run...and kept on running....and then I thought I might as well do the HM distance for this month since it's almost the end of the month! Now ba... read more

  6. Maybe if there was a website where I could log my progress at grading reports, projects and exams, I'd be doing more than staring at them and thinking about going for a run instead!!

You cud base your grades upon miles run. 3 miles = C grade. 1 mile = bricklayers HUD grade. It wud make it a lot more interesting. I used to write the examiners a wee poem sometimes just to put them in a nice frame of mind before starting. However, it generally resulted in a fail.

Ha ha ha what if you get to run if you finish X amount of reports and Z amount of exams :). I get over w my exercises usually as early as possible- helps me focus on work...

I'd love to read a poem, Aidan though it would make me wonder how you had the time to answer all the questions then! Irina, that's what I did - graded some and then ran!

  7. RUN
Relaxed run continued 7.25 km 00:49 10:58 pace

Wanted to do 10k....want to eventually do a fast 6k with a more relaxed 10k on a regular basis.

  8. RUN
Relaxed run interrupted.... 0.76 km 00:05:41 11:59 pace phone call from hubby who is currently in Singapore.

  9. RUN
    Fast 6k 6 km 00:35 09:18 pace

Trying to increase distance while running fast - goal was 6k in 35 minutes so I'm happy with the time!

  10. RUN
    Relaxed run 5.17 km 00:35 11:00 pace

Getting in more miles. Wanted to go for 10k but the fast run earlier wiped me out!

  11. RUN
    Speedy run 6.02 km 00:35 09:19 pace

Was going for sub-30 min 5k again and then decided to up the challenge by going for 6k in 35 minutes!! Enjoyed it but was really glad to 'end run'!!

  12. RUN
    Easy run 5.01 km 00:33 10:40 pace

Didn't have a speed goal in mind today though I wanted a longer run - but have a pain in my right calf, knee and hamstring....some strange kind of a triple combination!

    • Irina

It's all related and could be stemming from the hip. Roll it out and do hip and hamstring strength stuff.

Thanks everyone! I mentioned this to my 11 year old and she has not become my personal trainer for stretching!! She does Irish dancing and they do a lot of stretching exercises before was a tough stretching session but seems to have helped big time as you'll see when I post my next run!

  13. RUN
    Best of both worlds - part 1 5.01 km 00:29 09:26 pace

Wanted a fast run and a long compromised with a fast 5k and a more relaxed 8k!

  14. RUN
    'Struggling' run 5.02 km 00:32 10:19 pace

Really struggled with this run - decided to make it to 5k at this pace and then do a slower run. All muscles in the body seemed to be protesting....maybe combination of busy day, late night, sick c... read more

Thanks everyone! I've just been feeling really lazy (and Grey's Anatomy box set on Sky had added to that!) but yesterday, I was buzzing!! Maybe my body had still been recovering from sinus infection and was in a go-slow mode!
