      they are indeed, my feeling is that it is very much a guessing game at present but if something like excercise works, then why not just do it really !

      thanks Scott, apart from the noise of rain hitting windows (which has always been the case since the accident), there has been a day of big improvement compared to the last few days - even an outdoor ride :-)

      thanks Scott - think it'll be back down the doctors tomorrow - feel exhausted and had a thumping headache and stiff neck all day, still think the best way to defeat the problem is to do excercise and forget all the pills.

    Broke the cable on the cassette halfway round the route, so had gears 7, 15 & 23 only :-( - repaired by Mr Halfords - new cable and should be good to go again on the next ride
