Thanks Scott, there's a chap who I work with who is a semi pro rider and like yourself has been most supporting. His answer has been to stop going to all of these various physios and chiropractors and to actually go back to how active I had been before the accident as the thing that might be wrong with the body is the stress of everyone "guessing" on how to make it better

It's funny, there might be something to that. I certainly wouldn't tell you to stop seeing the professionals but I do thing they can kind of get carried away. The only thing I would suggest is to go to someone who understands the sports minded person. Going to a sports physio or chiropractor type would be a requirement for me.The body is such a complicated thing. When you add to that the tricks the mind can play (good and bad), it's a tough call. Maybe a break from the professional would be good

thanks Scott, going to try and go for a ride now as have real sensitivity to sound and just feel rubbish really - pain factor of about 6 or so, see what happens in a couple of hours ! - thanks for all of your support. Through all the weird and wonderful plans various specialists come up with, physical excercise does seem to give quite a lot of respite.

agreed and when I don't do it, it all falls apart again. I think it's the motion of looking over the right shoulder (when the neck is warm) which is stretching out the damaged part on the left hand side of the neck.

    good 12.8 mi 01:00 12.8mph pace

Ugh. So tough to get ride of a stiff neck once you have it. I found a heating pad worked better than anything else I tried this last time around. I hope you are feeling better soon. Nice miles.

thanks Scott - the stiff neck is near constant since the accident - these lead to headaches and migraines, the indoor rides do free it up due to the sheer greenhouse effect of riding indoors and hopefully keep it moving for the next day at work. I am currently under a physio having previously seen a chiropractor. It will be nice to ride outdoors too
