  5. RUN
    alright 6.5 mi 01:01 09:23 pace

It's too hot. Even at 6:30 am. I'm going to have to run during one of our 2 am thunderstorms just to stay cool.

Great effort, Robyn. Sorry to hear its so hot that early in the morning. Way to tough it out in the heat and humidity.

  6. RUN
    good 6.27 mi 01:00 09:34 pace

Trying to get back in training mode, but running slower paces this time around. Following the RRCA rules now that they certified me as a coach. :)

  7. RUN
good Brookline Flag Day 5K 3.11 mi 00:23 07:25 pace

Third 5K in the past 7 days! Much slower than the last two, but I'm happy with the time - though my Garmin clocked me 13 seconds faster (22:54) than the official result (23:07). It was hot at the 1... read more

  8. RUN
good Sharon Timlin 5K to Cure ALS 3.11 mi 00:22 07:08 pace

Second 5K in less than a week. This is not my official time because it seems my D-tag didn't work, and I didn't stop my Garmin right at the finish. Had to complain to Bay State Timing about being m... read more

Thank you everyone! :) I was really happy with the result, especially considering the temps. James, that stinks! I'm also hoping they can add my time manually. I'm thinking they can get close just by looking at my photos. (Glad they had a photographer!)

  9. RUN
alright Brookline Short Loop 5.47 mi 00:52 09:28 pace

    Just did loops. Nothing exciting.

  10. RUN
good Washington Loop 4.16 mi 00:35 08:25 pace

Pushed all of the hills, which are pretty frequent in this run. Really felt it in my quads after yesterday's race.

  11. RUN
    good Heartbreak Hill 5K 3.11 mi 00:22 07:04 pace

My fastest 5K ever! Finished 31st out of 419, 7th in females and 1st in my age group. Took 10 seconds off my best 5K pace. Happy to race on a nice misty day.

  12. RUN
good Warm Up Jog for Heartbreak 5K 3.1 mi 00:32 10:12 pace

Still waiting for the actual 5K race results, but think I did pretty good. I could use the motivation.

  13. RUN
    good Shady 12 12 mi 01:54 09:28 pace

I only managed this run by a) running on the sidewalks along Heartbreak under the trees and b) hitting every tree I could to shake off the cool rain water. It helped a ton. It's so humid.

    • Jenny J.

Awesome job, Robyn! Is that your longest run in awhile? Love how you used the water from the trees...smart thinking! :) Look how consistent you are...exactly the same pace as yesterday's run!

great Run with my Husband 6.3 mi 00:57 09:04 pace

My husband hates running. Hates. It. But he gives in and goes for a run every six months or so... and I'm psyched when he does! Now to see if I can get him to keep it up for a while. :)

My husband doesn't run very often but when he does he puts me to shame. Last week he ran a 43m 10k without having run for 6 weeks. How CAN he do that?

Becky, my husband does the same thing! I'll train all year, then he'll run a 5K with me every so often and beat his old time. Just not fair. Amanda, my husband won't even let me mention the word 'marathon' to him. Ha. He's all about basketball. :)
